1. Coverage for Lost Packages
If a package goes missing in transit (no movement, no delivery scan, or lost within the carrier’s network), package protection ensures:
You do not have to wait for USPS/UPS investigations
You do not have to be stuck in a loop with the carrier
Southern Aminos steps in directly and issues a quick resolution — typically a replacement shipment.
🔹 2. Coverage for Stolen Packages (Porch Piracy)
If the carrier marks the package as Delivered, but it was taken from your mailbox, door, or parcel locker:
Without Package Protection:
Customers must follow carrier investigation timelines and criteria, which often results in no reimbursement.
With Package Protection:
All you have to do is file a carrier theft report, then file a claim with Southern Aminos and we will handle the resolution quickly and directly.
🔹 3. Coverage for Damaged Packages
This applies if the package arrives:
Crushed
Split open
Water damaged
Contents spilled
Items broken or unusable
Package Protection eliminates carrier disputes and ensures quick coverage. *Damages as a result of International Customs Inspections is not covered.

If a package is incorrectly delivered to a neighbor or completely wrong address, and the carrier still marks it as delivered:

Package Protection Exclusions
Package Protection does not cover loss, theft, or non-receipt of an order under the following circumstances:
The shipment is delivered to an unsecured location, including but not limited to front doors, porches, apartment hallways, mailrooms, concierge desks, or other areas accessible to the public.
The recipient is not available to receive the package at the time of delivery, including but not limited to situations where the recipient is traveling, on vacation, away from the delivery address, or otherwise unable to take possession of the shipment.
The delivery is confirmed by the carrier as completed, including deliveries supported by tracking updates, delivery scans, GPS data, or photo confirmation.
The recipient authorizes, knowingly permits, or fails to prevent delivery to an unsecured location.
Once a shipment is marked as delivered by the carrier, title and risk of loss transfer to the recipient, and Package Protection coverage terminates.
